Sharon and Matt Schroebel have started a new business venture …. The Wild Acres LLC. They are developing and hosting Web sites and will initially concentrating on small businesses and non-profits such as FOG. We wish them well in their new endeavor. Marge Magruder has been elected to the Board of Directors of the statewide Friends of Maryland State Forests and Parks.
Lisa and Robbie Byrd have bought a new home in Mt. Airy and will be moving after Christmas. Lisa plans to remain connected with FOG by doing projects at home and keeping up our Sound Source information current.
Hall. Children will be able to make Christmas crafts. At 7:30 PM, the drawing will be held for the beautifully framed picture by Rick Reeves titled "South Mountain" that FOG has been selling chances on this summer. Volunteers are needed to decorate the Hall on Friday, Dec 10th at 10 am and to set out luminaries at dusk. Call Marge to volunteer to decorate, set out luminaries, bake some cookies, help with crafts or be a host/ess for a 2 hour shift .
The Museum is now closed for the winter and will reopen next April.

This newsletter is a publication of The Friends of Gathland State Park, Inc. Its intent and use is solely to promote Gathland State Park, which is part of the State Forest and Park Service of the Maryland Department of Natural Resources. The Friends of Gathland State Park are wholly separate from the Park Service. The Arch is published quarterly. The Newsletter deadline is 10 days prior to the first of the month for the next quarterly issue. We welcome your submissions to the newsletter and reserve the right to edit and determine placement of all items submitted.
