Meeting, Elections and Picnic - Saturday, September 16, 2000
The meeting starts at 10 am. All local members are encouraged
to attend, as the membership meetings are now only twice a year.
Also, please see the "Message from the Vice President" on page one
and give serious consideration to volunteering for an office or
the Board. FOG members and their families who plan to attend
should bring a side dish or dessert and call Marge Magruder so she
can get a head count to order the fried chicken.

Volunteer Appreciation To cap off State Park Week 2000 in October, Rocky Gap State Park will host a Volunteer Appreciation Event…. a ride on the Western Maryland RR Scenic Train from Cumberland to Frostburg. The ride departs from the Western Maryland Station on Sunday, October 1, 2000 at 11:30

a.m. While the ride is complimentary, food etc. is on your own. A restaurant is available at the Frostburg Depot. Any member who has volunteered at Gathland during the past year can call Roberta Dorsch @ (301) 743-5923 to make reservations, which are on a "first come, first served" basis. Space is limited to 150, so call early.
